What is Sea Moss?


Sea Moss is a sea algae that can be found along the oceans coastal areas, it is formed in various colours from purple to golden yellow and known for its many healing properties. Jammed packed with many essential vitamins and minerals Sea Moss has been labeled a superfood with benefits beyond the nutrients it contains. Various cultures have used Sea Moss as folk medicine for generations.

How Sea Moss can be consumed

It can be added to smoothies, teas, soups and stews. It is also known to be a great thickening agent in baked goods. We recommend using 1-2 tablespoons daily. 

Sea Moss for hair/face

Sea Moss is known to be a skin/hair powerhouse. Being rich in sulfur, it has antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial functions. The antibacterial effects help soothe skin conditions such as eczema, acne and overall helps to hydrate the skin. It is also great for hair growth, it moisturizes the scalp, deep conditions the hair and gives it that extra shine. 

Face mask - Apply the Sea Moss directly to your face and wash off after approximately 30 mins.

Hair mask/conditioner - Apply directly to the hair or mix with a conditioner and some of your favorite oils. Can be used as leave in conditioner or a hair mask, wash after an hour. 

Beard - Apply directly to your beard, wash after 30 mins.

Sea Moss expiration

Dry/Raw Sea moss can be stored in a cool dark place for up to a year. Sea Moss Gel needs to be refrigerated and kept in either a glass jar or airtight container and used within 2-3 weeks. The gel can also be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months. 

Sea Moss for children

Sea Moss is great for the whole family, we recommend that you consult a doctor before you introducing your children to Sea Moss as each child's nutritional needs tend to differ, this also applies to pregnant and nursing mothers.
